LEVEL 7
At this level, students increase the range of their multiplication skills to
include three- and
four-digit numbers. They will be practicing early division skills, including
beginning work with
remainders. Students will practice some operations with single-digit integers
(using negative
numbers). As well, students will begin working with a variety of basic fractions
skills.
Sublevel 7.1
Students will practice division skills, using numbers up to 20, while
introducing the concept of
remainders.
Sublevel 7.2
Students will practice their multiplication skills, using three- and four-digit
numbers.
Sublevel 7.3
This sublevel continues the introduction of negative numbers, practicing simple
operations with
one-digit integers.
Sublevel 7.4
Here, students will work with geometric patterns (based on changes by
multiplication). Also, students
will work on some basics of fractions skills, including comparing fractions,
equivalent fractions, and
multiplying fractions by whole numbers.
Sublevel 7.5
In this section, students will practice addition and subtraction of fractions,
which have common
denominators.
Final Review & Test
Students will review all the skills covered at this level. After the review
process, there will be a
final test to make sure conceptual understanding is developing properly, before
moving ahead.
